Derby’s grassroots scene is gearing up for another essential night of noise as BANG lands at The Hairy Dog on Saturday 5th April. Promoted by Alpha Pro Creative and Fuzz Music Services, this one is built for fans of uncompromising heavy music.

Doors open at 6pm, with tickets priced at £7 advance and £10 on the door-a solid entry point for a stacked three-band bill that covers multiple shades of heavy.

Headlining the night are Ghrul, bringing a dark, crushing sludge metal sound built on slow, weighty riffs.

Support comes from SKUM, delivering groove-driven midtempo nu-metal with punchy energy.

Opening the night are Neurosys, blending technical precision with heavy modern metalcore.

BANG is a reminder of what Derby does best-tight line-ups, passionate promoters, and a crowd that shows up for the underground. With Alpha Pro Creative and Fuzz Music Services behind it, this isn’t just another gig-it’s part of the ongoing push to keep the city’s heavier scene thriving.

And there’s no better setting than The Hairy Dog, a venue that continues to stand at the centre of Derby’s alternative and heavy music culture.
