By K Futur MusicDerby’s grassroots music scene is set for a serious shake-up on Friday 10th October, as Fuzz Music Services and Alpha Pro Creative bring their highly acclaimed FLASH gig series to The Hairy Dog, Beckett Street, Derby. Known for spotlighting the UK’s hottest emerging talent, FLASH is the place to discover tomorrow’s festival headliners before they hit the big time.
In the organisers’ words: “Our FLASH gigs bring you hot emerging talent from around the UK – the artists you’ll see on festival stages and supporting bigger names, the artists starting to get radio play and magazine articles, the artists that in a few years might well be costing you a LOT more to see…”

FloodHounds
Straight out of South Yorkshire, FloodHounds are an indie rock trio making serious noise on the national circuit. Known for fuzzed-up guitar riffs, stomping choruses, and high-octane live sets, they’ve already shared stages with Kid Kapichi, The Blinders, and Calva Louise. With BBC Introducing support, festival slots at Tramlines and Isle of Wight, plus editorial playlisting on Apple and Amazon Music, FloodHounds are a band on the brink of breaking through. Their recent singles, including ‘One Horse Race’, prove they’re just getting sharper.
Glass Bridges
If you like alternative rock with emotional punch, Glass Bridges deliver in spades. Their self-titled debut EP cements their reputation as one of Derby’s most exciting new acts.
