South Yorkshire indie band The Denabys will return to Derby for a headline show at The Victoria Inn on Friday 18 September 2026, joined by Hazy Sundays and Taylor Liam Jackson.

Formed in Denaby near Doncaster, The Denabys have been building a strong reputation through massive choruses and energetic live performances. The four-piece have previously sold out The Leadmill, supported The Reytons and The Sherlocks, and appeared at Tramlines Festival. Their return to Derby gives local indie fans another opportunity to catch a band whose shows are rapidly getting bigger.

Joining them are Glasgow indie-rock band Hazy Sundays, whose influences include Oasis, Kasabian and The Libertines. Since forming in 2022, the band have released their debut album Chaos in Harmony, received support from Radio X and shared bills with Reverend and the Makers, Babyshambles, The Skinner Brothers, John Power of Cast and Shambolics.

Completing the line-up is Derbyshire’s Taylor Liam Jackson, fresh from a packed performance on The Quarry Stage at Y Not Festival 2026. Introduced by BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson, Taylor and his band attracted a huge early crowd, with fans singing along and waving flags throughout their energetic set.

The show also adds another chapter to Taylor’s connection with The Denabys. A little over a year ago, he played his first proper stage at The Hairy Dog while opening for the South Yorkshire band. This September, they will share a Derby stage again before Taylor returns to The Hairy Dog for his biggest headline show yet on Saturday 5 December.

Presented by The Derby Indie Collective, the September date continues the promoter’s run of shows bringing rising artists from Derby and across the UK together at the city’s grassroots venues.

The Denabys headline The Victoria Inn, Derby, on Friday 18 September 2026, with support from Hazy Sundays and Taylor Liam Jackson. Doors open at 7pm, with the first performance scheduled for 7.30pm. Under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Tickets are available for £10 before booking fees through Skiddle.
