Derbyshire indie artist Taylor Liam Jackson will play his biggest headline show to date at The Hairy Dog in Derby on Saturday 5 December 2026.

The announcement follows Taylor Liam Jackson’s recent performance at Y Not Festival 2026, where he and his band opened The Quarry Stage on Friday. Introduced by BBC Introducing’s Dean Jackson, they attracted one of the stage’s biggest early crowds as fans filled the front, waved flags and sang along throughout an energetic set.

The Hairy Dog headline show will also mark a full-circle moment for Taylor, who stepped onto his first proper stage at the same venue a little over a year ago when he opened for The Denabys. After admitting he was terrified before that debut performance, he will now return to headline the venue with his own band and an increasingly loyal audience behind him.

Combining indie rock and Britpop influences with honest, relatable songwriting, Taylor has quickly built a reputation for lively performances and songs designed to be shouted back from the crowd. Recent releases including “See Me Around” and “Don’t Wanna Drive” have continued that rise, adding to a growing catalogue that also features “Let Me Go” and “Daydream”.

The supporting line-up also connects the show to Taylor’s beginnings. The Castros, who shared the stage with him on his first night at The Hairy Dog, will return alongside Billobuckers, Jonny Blade and Daisy Peacock.

Presented by The Derby Indie Collective, the concert celebrates how far Taylor Liam Jackson has come in a remarkably short time while bringing several emerging artists together for a full evening of local music.

Taylor Liam Jackson plays The Hairy Dog in Derby on Saturday 5 December 2026. Doors open at 7pm, with performances beginning at approximately 7.15pm. The event is open to those aged 16 and over, with tickets available through Skiddle.
