Dubrek’s Grand Opening Party: A Night of Music, Vinyl, and Vintage Vibes

Friday the 3rd of October marked a truly memorable evening in the heart of town as Dubrek, in collaboration with Wild Streak Records, threw an electrifying launch party for their brand-new shop. The event, free for all, was a celebration of music, art, and community, drawing enthusiasts from all corners for a night to remember.

The festivities kicked off with DJ Craig Simpson, who set the tone perfectly with an energetic set that had the crowd moving and buzzing with anticipation. The highlight of the night, however, came when Dallas Roots Combo took to the stage. This authentic four-piece band delivered a masterclass in vintage-inspired rock, blending influences from Rockabilly, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Rhythm & Blues, and Country. Their unique sound was infectious — I found myself tapping my feet all night — and it’s no exaggeration to say they are one of my favourite live acts I’ve seen in recent memory.

Beyond the live music, the new Dubrek shop itself is a haven for music lovers and culture seekers alike. Shelves are stocked with carefully curated items from Wild Streak Records, including a fantastic selection of vinyl and a listening station for those who want to sample before they buy.
