And now the bill just got even stronger.
Support comes from Bugeye-a fierce, female-led five-piece from Croydon delivering gritty guitars, driving synths and socially conscious lyrics straight from a Croydon council estate to stages across the UK underground.
If you care about modern British punk, post-punk and independent live music in Derby, this is a must-attend night.
Tickets are on sale now via Skiddle.
Loose Articles: Feminist Punk with Bite and Bounce
Manchester quartet Loose Articles have built a reputation for discordant, hypnotic repetition, sharp tales of nights out and radical politics delivered with a fierce, in-your-face presence. Their sound is raw yet danceable, sardonic yet sincere, political yet playful.
They champion survival through austerity with tongue firmly in cheek, blending ragged edges with threatening, feminist punk energy that makes a point and makes you move.
The industry has been quick to take notice.
Backed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music and praised by NME and Radio X, Loose Articles have also supported post-punk icons Gang of Four and electronic legends New Order.
Perhaps most notably, they were handpicked by Dave Grohl to support Foo Fighters-a nod that speaks volumes about their live reputation.
‘Are You A Welder?’ and the Rise of Scream If You Wanna Go Faster
Their single Are You A Welder?, released via Alcopop! Records, skewers outdated gender stereotypes and blokecore culture with wit and punch. Inspired by a throwaway taxi remark, the track tackles society’s narrow ideas around masculinity and occupation, wrapped in cowbells, big riffs and dancefloor-ready chaos.
The song features on their debut album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster, a rollercoaster record that veers between pinball champion highs and the drudgery of rubbish jobs and bad managers. Recorded and co-produced up north at Blueprint Studios, the album captures the raw, high-speed energy that defines their live shows.
Loose Articles are not just commentators. They are grafters. Balancing 9–5 jobs with relentless gigging, they have built their following the hard way, earning every packed-out room along the way.

Bugeye: Croydon Grit Meets UK Underground Power
Joining the bill are Bugeye, a formidable, female-led five-piece born from a Croydon council estate and now a driving force in the UK underground scene.
Fusing gritty, angular guitars with pulsing synth lines and socially conscious lyricism, Bugeye channel the tension and texture of post-punk through a thoroughly modern lens. Their sound is urgent, high-energy and impossible to ignore.
They represent everything great about the independent circuit: DIY spirit, lived experience and fearless storytelling. On a bill alongside Loose Articles, they add even more depth, muscle and meaning to what is shaping up to be one of Derby’s standout punk gigs of the spring.
Expect:
- Driving basslines and sharp, rhythmic guitars
- Synth textures that cut through the sweat and noise
- Lyrics that tackle real issues without losing their bite
- A live presence that commands the room
