GANS

GANS bring The Evolution Tour to The Hairy Dog in Derby on Thursday 15 October 2026, with support from Cowboy Hunters. Made up of friends Euan Woodman and Thomas Rhodes, the Birmingham duo blend pounding drums, heavy bass and electronics into a restless mix of post-punk, noise rock and danceable indie.

Signed to Peter Doherty’s Strap Originals label, GANS released their debut album, Good for the Soul, in 2025, working with producer Ross Orton, whose credits include Arctic Monkeys and M.I.A. Their sound draws on the rhythmic energy of LCD Soundsystem and Talking Heads while retaining a raw punk edge, pairing abrasive sounds with hooks and lyrics shaped by everyday life, mental health and their Black Country upbringing. Expect an energetic night for anyone who likes their music loud, unpredictable and built to move to.
