World War Three Are Bringing Their Album Release Show to Dubrek Studios This Month

If the last few weeks have proved anything, it’s that heavy music is in an incredibly healthy place right now. Hardcore is booming, death metal is thriving and grassroots venues across the country are packed with people looking for the heaviest riffs they can find. Derby is no exception.

Just a week before Sonic Waves brings hardcore chaos to the city, another seriously heavy night is heading to Dubrek Studios, this time celebrating the release of a brand new album from World War Three.

The Nottingham heavyweights will headline the show in support of their latest release, giving fans one of the first chances to hear the new material live. If you’ve seen World War Three before, you’ll already know what to expect. If you haven’t, prepare yourself for crushing riffs, relentless energy and a live set designed to leave the room in pieces.

Joining them is an equally uncompromising supporting lineup featuring Dreor, Spillout HC and Dr Shipman Experience, creating an evening that moves effortlessly between hardcore, death metal, slam and extreme metal. It’s the kind of bill that reminds you just how strong the Midlands’ underground heavy scene has become.

As an added bonus, gig photographer Nic Goes Gigging will be documenting the night, with footage from the show set to appear in upcoming World War Three music videos. So don’t be surprised if your finest two-step, stage dive or windmill ends up immortalised on YouTube in a few months’ time.

Tickets are priced between £5 and £7, making it one of the best value heavy gigs you’ll find this summer. If you’re into hardcore, death metal, slam or anything that involves breakdowns and loud guitars, this one should already be in your calendar.
