East Midlands indie band The Publics will bring their huge choruses to The Palais in Nottingham on Saturday 5 December 2026 for their biggest headline show to date.

The five-piece have built a growing reputation through punchy guitar riffs, energetic live performances and soaring choruses made for much bigger rooms. The Palais date follows a memorable summer for the band, including a recent appearance at Y Not Festival 2026.

The Publics performed on The Quarry Stage at the sold-out Derbyshire festival, delivering another important moment in their rise from grassroots venues towards increasingly ambitious festival and headline stages. Their Y Not set showed exactly why they have become one of the region’s most promising indie bands, bringing plenty of energy to a crowd already familiar with their growing collection of anthems.

Much of the Nottingham show will be built around the band’s latest EP, The Tide. Released in October 2025, the six-track record includes “I Hope You’re Satisfied”, the nostalgic “Back to the 80’s” and “Grow Old”. The songs have quickly become crowd favourites and should feel right at home inside The Palais.

The Nottingham concert concludes a run of 2026 dates taking The Publics through London, Manchester and Paris before returning to the East Midlands. Support comes from The Harbours, adding another emerging indie band to a bill filled with massive hooks, lively crowds and guitar music with serious ambition.

The Publics play The Palais, Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, on Saturday 5 December 2026. Doors open at 6pm, with the show expected to finish at 10pm. Standing tickets start at £20 before booking fees. The event is open to those aged 14 and over, although under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available through The Palais.
