If you’re after a tasty and affordable Tex-Mex lunch in Derby, look no further than AMIGO. Just a short walk from Derby Station and slightly out of the city centre, AMIGO offers a welcoming dine-in experience with friendly staff and a menu packed full of choice.

We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the variety on offer and some great value deals too. I opted for the chicken burrito with house fries and a bottle of water. The burrito was perfectly balanced — juicy, flavoursome, and stuffed with just the right mix of chicken and rice. The fries were crunchy with a bold seasoning that paired beautifully with the Mexican sour cream dip.

My colleague chose the burger and fries, and was equally impressed — a meaty, well-seasoned patty in a soft bun that didn’t fall apart or dry out. It’s casual, quick, and tasty — just what you want for a midday bite.

Whether you’re eating in, collecting, or ordering for delivery, AMIGO hits the mark for Mexican food lovers in Derby. For bold flavours, friendly service and great value, this local spot is well worth a visit. Fancy some Mexican? Give them a go.
