When it comes to British wrestling’s most unapologetically wild performers, Big F’n Joe stands tall – bloodied, battered, and grinning from ear to ear. Known for pushing his body to the limit in some of the most brutal matches across the globe, Joe is the very definition of a cult favourite. And now, fans are counting down the days until his first and only appearance of the season, when he takes on Franco Fate at KCW’s “Fight of the Living Dead” on 19th October at The Hairy Dog in Derby.

For those who’ve followed Joe’s journey, this isn’t just another match – it’s an event. A celebration of chaos.

From East of England to the World Stage

Based near Great Yarmouth (“or not so great Yarmouth,” as Joe jokes), the East of England native has carved out a name for himself far beyond his hometown. “It’s got its fair share of wrestling promotions which is great,” Joe explains, “but it’s definitely a pain with the amount of travel I have to do for shows, as most of them are up north.”

That relentless commitment – long drives, sore bones, and the endless balancing act of wrestling life and family life – has become part of his legend. “The long drives on your own when you’re sore, covered in dried blood and falling asleep at the wheel are not the one,” he admits. “Especially when you have to get home in time for the school run.”

A Dream Born in Tape Trading

Joe’s love affair with wrestling started young. “Since I was a kid, all I wanted to do was either be a Ghostbuster, in a punk band or be a pro wrestler,” he laughs. “Ghosts don’t exist and being in a band relies on others, plus I just wasn’t that good at drums. So that left wrestling.”

It’s that punk-rock, DIY energy that fuels his style – gritty, unpredictable, and full of heart. His crowning moment so far? Winning Combat Zone Wrestling’s Tournament of Death XX. “I remember tape trading the first year’s tournament when I was a kid,” he recalls. “So it was a crazy full circle moment to win the twentieth anniversary.”

The First Deathwolf Champion

Closer to home, Joe made history by becoming the first-ever Deathwolf Champion, winning the belt in a no-ring three-way Deathmatch against Alton Thorne and Danny Darko. It was classic Big F’n Joe – chaotic, bloody, and unforgettable.

That same unfiltered energy is what makes his upcoming showdown with Franco Fate so anticipated. This isn’t just another bout on the card – it’s a main event moment for fans who know they’re getting something special.

“Ride It Till the Wheels Fall Off”

Ask Joe what drives him, and you won’t get a rehearsed answer or a corporate soundbite. “No one really inspires me,” he says bluntly. “I just want to do cool stuff whilst I can. Life is way too short and it’s legit all I’ve ever really wanted to do.”

That mindset has shaped his reputation as one of the most genuine and entertaining figures in the deathmatch scene. Whether he’s fighting in front of hundreds or thousands, Joe’s mission is simple: make every moment count. “I normally joke and say I get paid to play fight with my friends all over the world,” he says. “That or mutilate my body for nowhere near enough money. Saying that, I’d still rather do that than work my crappy day job.”

What’s Next for Big F’n Joe?

Despite the pain, the travel, and the scars, Joe isn’t done yet. “Just to keep going really,” he says. “Although I could definitely do with making more money so I don’t have to work the soul-destroying day job. That and to make it to Japan. I feel I’d do well out there.”

Until then, fans can catch him in action one last time this seasonlive, up close, and fully unleashed at KCW’s Fight of the Living Dead.

“Come Out and Support Your Local Wrestling”

Joe’s message to fans is as straightforward as his style in the ring: show up. “I’m on socials like Instagram,” he says, “but the best way is to come out to your local independent wrestling show. That’s the biggest thing. No point in wrestling in front of no one.”

And if you do – you’ll understand why Big F’n Joe isn’t just a name. He’s an experience.
