On Friday 10th October, Alpha Pro Creative and Fuzz Music Services once again delivered an incredible night of live music at The Hairy Dog in Derby. Known for championing the local music scene, the two organisers brought together three phenomenal bands that filled the venue with energy, passion, and pure rock ‘n’ roll spirit.

Skeeve – Derby’s Shoegaze Powerhouse

Kicking off the night were Derby locals, Skeeve. Blending shoegaze with alternative rock, Skeeve brought an electric mix of melodic textures, soaring vocals and moments of raw aggression. Their set was packed with original bangers, showcasing their distinctive sound that sits somewhere between dreamy ambience and hard-hitting rock.

A definite highlight was their brilliant cover of a Teen Suicide track-reimagined with a unique Skeeve twist. The crowd were hooked from the first note, and by the end of their set, The Hairy Dog was buzzing. It was the perfect opener to get everyone in the mood for what was to come.

Glass Bridges – Alt Rock Energy with a Metal Edge

Next up were Glass Bridges, bringing their metal-influenced alternative rock sound to the stage. With elements of emo and pop punk, their set was packed with infectious energy. The combination of heartfelt vocals, heavy riffs and searing guitar solos kept the audience moving throughout.

Their chemistry on stage was undeniable, and their performance was tight, emotional and full of intensity. Glass Bridges proved themselves to be a band to watch-one that fans of heavier alt-rock will definitely want to see again.

FloodHounds – Heavy Indie Rock That Hits Hard

Closing the night were FloodHounds, a powerful three-piece band -two of whom hail from Derby. Delivering a gritty, heavy indie rock sound, FloodHounds turned up the distortion and had the crowd hooked from the very first riff.

Their set was packed with punchy originals featuring crunchy guitar riffs, thumping basslines, and a driving rhythm section. They also threw in a couple of surprise covers from The Prodigy and Gorillaz, each with that unmistakable FloodHounds flair. With tight musicianship and some serious guitar solos, their sound channelled the raw energy of Royal Blood with their own distinct twist.
