Dub Pistols

Dub Pistols head to The Hairy Dog in Derby on Saturday 14 November 2026, bringing their mix of dub, reggae, ska, hip-hop and breakbeat. Formed in London in 1996 and led by Barry Ashworth, the band grew from the big-beat scene into a live act with deep roots in British sound-system culture, pairing heavy basslines with infectious rhythms and punk attitude.

Across decades of releases and festival appearances, Dub Pistols have built a reputation for energetic shows that move between laid-back reggae grooves and the faster pulse of jungle and drum ’n’ bass. Their Derby appearance offers the chance to experience that festival spirit up close, with a sound made for dancing and enough musical variety to keep the room moving.
