Banks Mill Open Studios

Explore Derby’s creative community as Banks Mill Studios opens its doors for a weekend of art, design and independent making from 27–29 November 2026.

Meet over 50 artists, designers, makers and creative services businesses, explore artwork across five floors and see where original designs and handmade pieces come to life. You can buy work directly from the people who create it, making this a great opportunity to pick up something a little different ahead of Christmas.

Alongside the artists and makers, you’ll also find creative businesses offering services including photography, digital promotion and video production. Whether you’re browsing, buying or looking for someone to collaborate with, there’s plenty to discover.

Based in a former textile mill on Bridge Street, Banks Mill is managed by the University of Derby and provides workspace and support for a wide range of creative businesses.
