Assemble: Derby’s Making Festival

Assemble: Derby’s Making Festival brings artists, makers and curious minds together at the Museum of Making for a celebration of creativity, invention and practical skills. Produced by Derby Museums, the family-friendly festival explores making in its many forms, giving visitors the chance to meet the people behind the work, watch demonstrations and find inspiration for their own projects.

Previous editions have featured everything from ceramics, embroidery and jewellery-making to metalwork, laser-cutting, robotics and automata, alongside workshops where visitors can have a go themselves. Whether you’re an experienced maker or simply curious about how things are created, Assemble offers a chance to explore traditional crafts and new technologies in a setting rooted in Derby’s industrial history.
